The base plate protects your ground from contamination and makes it easier to remove the finished compost thanks to the smooth surface. If you place the composter on paved surfaces such as terraces or concrete, the base plate is definitely recommended.
If the composter is in the garden, you can choose to place the SUPERCOMP on bricks or do without a paved surface. This is also not a problem. However, make sure that the composter is placed horizontally (level the area before assembly).
Part of the pile weight rests on the sliding device , the pile no longer rests with its full weight on the ground.
This ensures vertical ventilation of the entire pile cross-section (chimney effect), no unpleasant odors for you and your neighbors, no more tedious turning requiered.
The compost organisms work at turbo speed, as they are optimally supplied with oxygen, heat up the compost heap, reproduce ideally and thus quickly produce nutrient-rich quality compost .
The heap is surrounded by the walls of the composter, is only ventilated at the sides and lies with its full weight on the ground.
The pile becomes compacted and hardly lets any air through. This compaction process considerably restricts the air circulation in the pile, which slows down the composting process.
The removal of finished compost is extremely laborious due to the heavy weight of the heap, as the entire mass rests on the shovel when shoveling it out.
This is why composting experts recommend turning the heap several times a year, which usually involves completely dismantling and rebuilding the composter to ensure better aeration and loosening of the material.

The composter works and remains odor-free. The composting time is approx. 1/2 year and requires the use of compost worms. We bought 3 types of worms from one of the large worm farms for soft to firmer source material. Lignified flower stems and thin twigs have to go through twice. All in all, we are very satisfied.

Until we bought the Supercomp composter, we had used several other models, and in the end we even had 3 composters next to each other (a 600-liter plastic composter from a competitor, a compost heap made of grid material with a diameter of approx. 1 m and one made of wooden boards, also approx. 1 m square).
All of the composters had to be constantly turned and the odor was correspondingly bad, and mold also tended to form in the composters.
Since we started using the Superkomp, we now have a comparatively small composter that doesn't smell, doesn't have to be turned and the compost is metabolized very quickly. Citrus fruits and even meat scraps (we didn't dare throw them in the compost before) are also composted.
We were initially concerned about the size, as I said, the composter looked tiny next to the 3 previous ones, but the composter more than makes up for this with its rapid processing of the compost material. It is now usually 3/4 full, but we hardly ever put grass cuttings into the composter.
It is important to have a level and firm base, I have made a U-shaped foundation here in a sand bed (which I dug out about 15 cm deep beforehand) with some clinker bricks. This keeps the composter straight and stable.
We would buy the composter again at any time, overall verdict: unbeatable!

The composter arrived on time after 2 days. It arrived very well packaged and undamaged. I unpacked and assembled it straight away, which was also very easy. Then I set up the composter and filled it with mulch as described. Then the first waste was thrown in. But now I'm wondering how a chimney suction effect can arise when everything is full, as there are no ventilation holes or slits. Well, the future will show whether everything is really so great and only then can I decide whether to recommend it.

The composter worked very well in the first season. I assume that this will also be the case in the coming years. One small note: the lid hinges could be a little more stable. Not a problem in normal use. However, during a strong gust of wind last winter, the hinges on one side panel did not hold up and broke. They were replaced immediately free of charge.

The composter does what it is supposed to do and does it quite satisfactorily. There is some catching up to do in terms of quality. In the meantime, all the pivot bolts on the swing-open lid have torn off because the plastic used has become brittle due to the sun and cold. The plastic is probably not designed for exposure to sunlight because it has "burned through" at one point and a small hole has remained.

I have had the Supercomp thermal composter for a year now. The composter was easy to set up and, although it is higher than other composters, it doesn't look as bulky. With my old conventional thermal composter, the rotting process was very slow. I always saved myself the trouble of moving the compost for reasons of time and convenience. That's probably why it didn't really work. Although I don't do anything else now, a lot of finished compost has already been created. I also really like the fact that you can place the composter on a solid concrete slab. This means that the composter doesn't warp, which was the case with the old one after just one year. I also can't detect any unpleasant odors outside the composter.
I would buy the composter again at any time and can only recommend it to others.

We were looking for a composter that works well, doesn't smell and looks good, as it is clearly visible in our yard. After the first 10 months of use and the first removal, we are very satisfied. The workmanship on the lid and removal flap was not optimal, but customer service was very friendly, accommodating, prompt and uncomplicated in delivering new parts. The compost is dark and rich, removal is child's play, there's nothing to do. Bio in at the top, compost out at the bottom. No odors at all, even when the sun is shining directly on the Supercomp and you are standing next to it. We were a little hesitant before we bought it because the price seemed quite high, but we think the Supercomp is absolutely worth the price! If you are looking for a composter with which you have zero work, which you can practically set up next to the balcony or garden table and which delivers great compost, then this is the one for you! By the way, we only throw in fresh organic waste, no processed waste, nothing cooked and no meat, bone or sausage waste to avoid attracting uninvited guests. We always cook fresh and there is a lot of organic waste.

Everything was perfect except for the delivery person. For some inexplicable reason, the parcel was left in the hallway in front of the front door at Hauptplatz 5.
