Like the SUPERCOMP keeps pests away while enabling optimal composting

All-around protection in the rat-proof composter thanks to ventilation grilles, seals, and a tongue-and-groove system

The SUPERCOMP is completely closed, offering comprehensive protection against flies, mice, rats, snails, etc.
The precisely manufactured tongue-and-groove system ensures seamless transitions between the individual plug-in elements, keeping everything sealed and preventing pests from entering.
In addition, integrated ventilation grilles with very fine perforations and sealing strips on all openings (cover, door, ventilation) ensure a secure seal.

Thanks to vertical ventilation (chimney effect), the compost heap is evenly supplied with oxygen right down to its core. This prevents the formation of pockets of decay that could attract odors or pests.

This ensures that the SUPERCOMP remains permanently clean, hygienic, and free of unwanted visitors.

High-quality materials and variants

SUPERCOMP is available in two versions—as a sturdy plastic composter and as a natural wood composter.
The plastic models are made of UV-resistant, frost-proof polyethylene (5 mm wall thickness) and are designed for year-round outdoor use.
The wooden version is made from solid local pine and is protected on the inside by PP hollow-core panels.
Both models feature a fully enclosed design, integrated support elements for vertical ventilation, as well as ventilation grilles and seals that ensure reliable all-around protection against pests.

Optimal ventilation without odor formation, without conversion

The integrated support structure allows for vertical aeration from the bottom up. The compost pile rests only partially on the structure, allowing air to flow freely and supply oxygen to the entire pile—right down to the core.
This chimney effect keeps the material evenly aerated, prevents rotting, and stops unpleasant odors from developing in the first place. There is no need to turn the compost at all.
Since odors are one of the main causes of pest infestation, the SUPERCOMP remains permanently clean, hygienic, and unattractive to rats and mice. Turning is no longer necessary.

No chance for pests

The SUPERCOMP is completely enclosed and offers all-around protection:
Tight tongue-and-groove joints on the wall panels, rubber seals on all openings, and pest-proof, fine-mesh ventilation grilles reliably prevent pests from entering the composter.
Even in densely populated residential areas, the SUPERCOMP be used without hesitation—clean, hygienic, and odor-free.

Versatile applications

The SUPERCOMP is suitable for kitchen scraps, garden waste, and fresh grass clippings, and can also process waste that is difficult to compost (meat, fish, citrus fruits, bones, grass clippings). It can be set up in the garden, in an allotment, or near the house, and delivers clean, controlled, and hygienic composting wherever it is used.

FAQ – Frequently asked questions

Does a compost bin generally attract rats or mice?

Yes – in traditional compost bins, a lack of aeration can easily lead to rotting and odors that attract pests such as rats, snails, and mice.
To prevent this, the compost must be turned regularly.
With the SUPERCOMP , this isn’t necessary thanks to integrated ventilation (chimney effect) and complete pest protection—it composts with minimal odor, hygienically, and without rats or mice.

Why do some compost bins develop odors?

Odors are usually caused by a lack of air and decay. The SUPERCOMP prevents this through its uniform, vertical aeration, which supplies the entire compost pile with oxygen.

Is the SUPERCOMP also suitable for residential areas?

Yes, thanks to its hygienic, enclosed design, it is ideal for gardens in densely populated residential areas.

Does the SUPERCOMP keep snails away, too?

Yes, ventilation grilles with very fine perforations and sealing strips also keep out snails and cockroaches.

Does the compost have to be in the SUPERCOMP turned?

No, thanks to the built-in support system, there is no need to turn the compost. The compost remains in the system, is evenly aerated, and thus stays low-odor and pest-free.
